*✨️ Contact Improvisation Weekend Workshop -

Being in Listening ✨️*

In this weekend meeting, we will explore our relationship to the essentials of our movement: yielding into the support from the ground, pushing and pulling, gathering into our center, and extending into the surrounding environment where the dance happens.

From there, we can tune to internal and external spaces, the boundary between our self and the other, listening to movement, to reciprocity and the dance that is born from it. Every step is a calibration of such listening, finding support in the multi-directionality of choices and trajectories.

We will play with physical forces, with falling, with our impulses and reflexes, opening the awareness of our body-mind through skin, muscles and bones, learning to trust and direct the continuous fall of our moving body, to trust the intelligence of the body we have, the body of the other, the body of the Earth.

We will explore the connection between center and periphery, as a spherical world of information opens new possibilities, without manipulating or controlling the other or our own movement, practicing trusting and reaching through the awareness of our limbs, into the ground and out into the surrounding space.

Softening the conversation of the dance, while attending to its endless complexity.
