A body focused aerial silks practice that combines deep stretching, therapeutic wraps, compression, traction, and controlled suspension to work with accumulated tension and fascial restrictions. Using the fabric to create support and resistance, we explore deeper ranges of movement, encourage circulation, and develop greater awareness of how the body holds and distributes tension.
The practice moves between sustained stretches and intentional transitions, incorporating spirals, wraps, and controlled movement to challenge coordination, concentration, and spatial awareness. Rather than focusing on acrobatic sequences or achieving particular shapes, the emphasis is on exploring sensation, moving with intention, and balancing physical effort with release.
Designed for active bodies ready to take their movement practice inward, Silks Embodied offers athletes, climbers, divers, and aerialists a different kind of challenge: one that develops body awareness while encouraging nervous system regulation through movement.
Class Highlights:
Focus Area: Fascial release, deep stretching, therapeutic wraps, circulation, coordination, and nervous system regulation.
The Vibe: Grounded, physical, exploratory, and quietly challenging.
Level: Open to those with an existing fitness or movement background. Some familiarity with physical training is recommended; this is not a first movement class.
Who It’s For: Athletes and active movers who want to explore the body’s deeper tensions, improve movement awareness, and balance physical training with intentional release.
