Itinerary:
8:00 AM – Depart from Dahab
9:30 AM – Arrive at St. Catherine’s Monastery
9:30 AM - 12:00 PM – Explore the ancient monastery, steeped in history and faith, nestled in the heart of the Sinai mountains. Go to see the Burning bush - the one where Mousa got his 10 commandments.
12:00 PM - 12:45 PM – Enjoy a coffee or tea break and prepare for the hike
12:50 PM – Begin the ascent up Moses Mountain. The trail winds through stunning landscapes with towering mountains on either side, offering natural shelter from the wind. Plenty of rest stops with refreshments and facilities (coffee, tea, noodles, toilets) are available along the way.
4:30 PM – Reach the summit of Mount Mousa
4:50 PM – Sunset over the Sinai desert – a spectacular, unforgettable view!
Descent – After sunset, begin the descent back down the mountain.
7:30 PM – Arrive back at the base, and head back to Dahab
9:30 - 10:00 PM – Return to Dahab
