Description

This workshop introduces you to a simple yet powerful way to relax the body, balance tension patterns and improve muscular function.

The main goal is to
- > improve body awareness
- > increase conscious control over tension and specific muscle groups
- > access deeper more systemic relaxation more quickly
- > improve natural alignment
- > recover more effectively and quickly from overuse and imbalances
- > prevent injuries through optimized inter-muscular coordination

We achieve this by leveraging some basic physiological principles combined with spiral movement and conscious breathing. Each exercise targets a specific functional muscle sling and joint. While the whole method includes 15 distinct exercises we will work with the first 7-10 of them over the course of the workshop. This gives you not only a solid foundation to practice them but also enough experience to then apply the principles in the way that suits your individual needs, sports, etc. the most. On a side note there might be a part two where we then also do the remaining exercises but for this the focus is practicability and giving you tools that you can immediately apply for your benefit without too much extra demand of remembering more complex patterns.

Aside from the immediate mechanical benefits this method also provides a support to the immune system and can be used in recovery after injury or illness. This is due to the possibility to easily adapt intensity of the movements. Since we work with spirals this supports cardiovascular and lymphatic flow. On top of that all tissues are being gently stretched and massaged which helps to reinstate full healthy function both organically as well as structurally.

There is no previous experience or knowledge needed to participate. We will not use any tools or external help so just come in comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.

In the past I have successfully worked with athletes of all sorts using this method. From triathletes, to rock-climbers, downhill skiiers to free divers and even strength athletes and acrobats.
